6. Bray Wyatt Interferes In The Main Event

Bray Wyatt Fiend

I've said my piece on this, but it's way, way, way too soon to be putting The Fiend into the main-event scene. WWE has lightning in a bottle with the Bray Wyatt reinvention, and also a champion who is crying out for a prolonged and critically-acclaimed run with the belt, the two shouldn't finally be put together until their own narrative's both freshening up.

But, regardless, we're getting it at Hell in a Cell and, with nothing else to do on the show, all the talk suggests that Wyatt will be making his presence felt during the Universal Championship match to help set it up. As hot as WWE are on the character, it's unlikely they'd thrown him into some conventional Number 1 Contender faire, so instead, we need a storyline reason for the match to take place.

Not to turn this article into a mindless stream of my own predictions (or a rant at WWE's predictability) but...

Rollins and Strowman lose the tag titles early in the night.Strowman blames Rollins for this and beats him up post-match.Rollins limps into the main-event as a clear underdog.Strowman toys with him and looks like he's going to win.The Fiend appears, saves Rollins, says his "soul and his title" are now forfeit to him (or some such spooky gibberish).Challenges Rollins to a match at Hell in a Cell.
