2. Kevin Owens And Sami Zayn’s Roles
Two of the more notable absentees from the Survivor Series card are the recently-realigned Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.
The pair have hit the headlines in recent weeks, both in an on-screen capacity and behind the scenes. On television, Zayn’s heel turn has seen him and Owens rebel against SmackDown commissioner Shane McMahon, resulting in them turning their backs on their roster-mates during Raw’s recent “siege” this past Tuesday night, while backstage they made news after being sent home from the previous week's European tour for disciplinary reasons.
Gossipers may presume that their Survivor Series absence is in some way linked to that tour dismissal. However it seems that isn’t necessarily the case. In fact, it seems they won’t even be absent from Survivor Series after all.
CagesideSeats.com has noted that “while Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn aren’t booked for Survivor Series they are apparently factored into the show.”
Presumably, that means we could see the Canadian duo interfere in the five-on-five elimination match, perhaps costing Team SmackDown the win given that ongoing beef with team captain, and commissioner, McMahon.
