Kozlov was almost instantly pushed towards the main event after his arrival in WWE in 2008, steamrolling his way past a host of jobbers before finding himself opposite wrestling legends Triple H and Edge in a world title triple threat match at Survivor Series 2008.

Although he didn't walk out of Boston the WWE Champ, it was Triple H who ate the pin - meaning that the Moscow Mauler, who also failed to win the SmackDown Elimination Chamber at No Way Out a few months later, was still undefeated in singles competition.

This was a record he would keep right up to the eve of WrestleMania, when he lost to Shawn Michaels - but only after he had beaten Undertaker clean on SmackDown a few weeks prior. Considering the steep fall down the card that followed, it was a mightily impressive - and surprising - streak.
