8 Lessons WWE Should Learn From Daniel Bryan's Latest Injury

4. Bryan Must Change His In-Ring Style

One of the biggest compliments paid to Daniel Bryan is the fact that, regardless of the setting, he never appears to deliver anything but 100-percent between the ropes. Whether it is a house show in front of 4,000 fans, a television show before 10,000 or WrestleMania XXX, with 75,000 fans in attendance, Bryan never hesitates to let it all hang out, working as hard as he possibly can to strengthen his legacy as the best worker of his generation and ensure that fans get their money's worth. It is pride and determination that fuel him. That pride and determination is also one of his greatest detriments. Sometimes a Superstar has to know when to push it and when to let off the gas a bit. Bryan has risked his health and well-being since returning from his neck operation, diving through the ropes with reckless abandon and launching himself from the top rope for the diving headbutt that not only risks further injury but has also proven to be instrumental in the demise of a Superstar Bryan very much resembles from an in-ring perspective. To remain active, to prevent further injury that sidelines him longer for what he has already been, Bryan must seriously think about changing his in-ring style. One of the purest wrestlers of his generation, perhaps focusing on a more submission-based move set would eliminate the need for those dives on a regular basis, allowing him to save them for bigger, more meaning moments so as not to subject his neck to continued wear and tear. However he chooses to makeup for the change is irrelevant. What is important is that he do so before it is too late to make up for the incredible punishment he has put his body through to this point.
