8 Live Observations From WWE Post-WrestleMania Monday Night Raw

5. Fixing The Women's Divison

Have WWE decided, at long and overdue last, to try and do something about the abject state of their Women's Division?

Over on SmackDown, Sasha Banks and Naomi went undefeated as a tag team after being bundled together like almost every other wrestler on the female roster at this time of year. They followed that up by defeating the three other makeshift teams at WrestleMania to become Tag Team Champions. This, broadly speaking, could be classified as momentum. Something Bianca Belair's got plenty of after regaining the Raw Women's Championship in a 'Show Of Shows' match with Becky Lynch that almost stole the show from underneath Stone Cold Steve Austin himself.

More on the very strange occurrence in their match later, but they were over and kept winning nonetheless.

Elsewhere, it would have been nice for Carmella and Zelina Vega’s breakup not to revolve around Corey Graves but their makeshift alliance was parked all the same. Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan’s is going next week based on the fifty foot high clues too.

Bianca Belair cut a promo toasting her victory and the end of an arduous few months. She felt at very least like the leader of the show going forward, even if it might have been nice to see a hot angle set up at the end of her speech rather than just a few fireworks.

Baby steps yes, but so few of them have been taken lately. This felt like the right time for a pivot in the right direction.
