If the rumours are true, then World Wrestling Entertainment are going to be introducing a free monthly option when subscribing to the WWE Network. Whilst you would still need to sign up, for a monthly spend of approximately 0.00 a decent amount of content would be available to you. This would exist primarily to attempt to convince folk to sign up to one of the paid options.

For zero monies, subscribers would gain access to five hours of archived content every month. This initially doesn't sound like so much, but if used properly this is quite a lot. In our fast-moving times having free access to an old 1994 WWF PPV on a Sunday afternoon could be extremely enticing to wrestling fans.

The free version would also come with the regular stream, meaning subscribers would be able to view all the original content that is scheduled with the exception of the pay-per-views, NXT and the Cruiserweight Classic. This service would come with a whole host of commercials however, as money always needs to be made.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
