8 Major WWE Superstars Who Hated Chris Jericho

1. Triple H

Although the two have obviously mended fences and are on good terms today, there was a time there was serious tension between Chris Jericho and the man who will one day be king of the WWE. In the late 1990s when Chris Jericho made his debut in the company, Triple H was in the midst of his first real push. Allegedly he was jealous of the waves Chris was making and worries about losing his spot so he began playing politics. Soon there were rumblings that Jericho "didn't know how to work" and other wrestlers were speaking out against him. After being told to turn up his aggression, he got heat with Road Dogg for slapping him too hard in a match. He also accidentally busted open Chyna with a hair dryer which angered her then-boyfriend Hunter. Backstage at the 02/25/02 RAW, Jericho and HHH got into a shouting match when the referee botched the ending of a match between Jericho and Kurt Angle. Hunter got involved and told both the referee and Angle that Y2J was the one to blame for screwing up the finish, which only served to amplify the heat between the two. Both men have made no attempts to hide their distaste for one another during that time period and have each owned up to their end of the squabble. In an interview with MLW Radio, Jericho had this to say about Triple H:
"In the early 90s it's no secret there was no love lost between he and I. We didn't like each other, we didn't get along. We had great matches, but there was always a personality issue. That stopped years and years ago and now I consider Triple H a pretty good friend. I'll be completely flatly honest, I think he's the right guy to take over the company. I think he's prepared for it. He's learning a lot about how to be the corporate guy. There's so much more than just calling finishes and signing guys. He's got to run the whole corporate side of it. Go to all the meetings, do all that stuff. I think it's in very good hands if Vince ever retires or passes away."
So there you have it. Eight guys who definitely hated Chris Jericho at one point in time. It's good to know that most of these disputes have been settled or forgotten about. Is there anyone we left off the list? Name them in the comments.
