8 Mind-Blowing Early Versions Of Famous Wrestling Tag Teams
1. The Hardy Boyz
Matt and Jeff Hardy returned to WWE at WrestleMania 33 to win the Tag Team Championships and cement their status as one of the greatest tandems of all time. And my what a transformation they've undergone since they debuted inside a WWE ring almost 20 years ago.
The Hardy's most recent gimmicks -- especially Broken Matt -- might seem a little absurd, but look at the picture up there and tell me that version of Matt Hardy isn't just a little more ridiculous. That's not the look of an innovator, that's the look of someone who desperately wants to get a background role in the school play.
Jeff, meanwhile, looks in full-on flower child mode, like he should be sitting on a grassy hill, blowing on a dandelion weed, and listening to Donovan's deep cuts. Their homemade costumes and smiley, thumbs-up attitudes were indicative of their jobber status at the time.
Thankfully, this only lasted a few months before Michael Hayes came along as their manager and started dressing them in all of Hot Topic's latest fashions.
