8 More Former WWE Stars Who Need To Return To NXT
3. Sabu
Sabu is almost certainly in the winter of his wrestling career now. In fact, it's pretty incredible that the 51-year-old veteran is still going, considering the abuse he's put his body through over the past quarter century. Few have given more to the wrestling business, that's for sure.
And he deserves to be recognised and rewarded for that. He's not going to get a full-time gig with a major organisation, but he'd be a hit with the knowledgable and appreciative crowd at Full Sail. Even if it's just a one-shot deal, it'll be a nice surprise for them and a great way to pay tribute to someone who has given his all for the business.
The suicidal, homicidal, genocidal one is still pretty active on the indie scene these days and he's looked alright (at least from what I've seen). What best way to use Sabu? I'm not entirely sure. He could work matches with Finn Balor or Samoa Joe. They'd be good bouts and very different from the norm for those two. A welcome change of pace.
It might not be on the cards considering how badly the Sabu/WWE relationship ended in 2007, but the hardcore icon deserves at least one more shot in the big leagues (yes, NXT is the big leagues now) and if I can still go he should be in with a shout.
