One of the things that makes karate-influenced striking so popular amongst MMA fans is the scarcity in which it is utilised by elite fighters at the highest levels of the sport. The principle difference between Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson and Michael 'Venom' Page in terms of their MMA careers, is the quality of opposition that they have faced.
