For the most part, examples of athletes attempting to make music rarely set the world alight. With but a few exceptions (We're looking at you, Roy Jones Jr) athletes always seem to struggle to make music that wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb among a normal artist's discography.
And that's fair enough. But for whatever reason, it's even worse than usual with MMA. I mean sure, if Jay-Z or Kanye West stepped into the Octagon they would be destroyed in seconds, but that's precisely why they don't. Yet MMA fighters keep trying to produce music.
So when the ill-fated IFL promotion decided to enlist the help of legendary hip-hop producer Jazze Pha to record a song to promote the MMA legends serving as their coaches, the results were about as disastrous as you can imagine.
