8 Most Improved Wrestlers Since Last Year's WWE Brand Split
2. Cesaro & Sheamus
Cesaro & Sheamus' story began shortly after the brand split. Their journey has been far more compelling than anyone would have predicted.
Starting out as rivals in a feud that resulted in a best of seven series, a number of fans complained about seeing these superstars fight each other over and over again. But when the series ended up being tied at 3-3 after their final match ended in a no contest at Clash of Champions, they were put together as a tag team by the then Raw General Manager, Mick Foley.
After a couple of failed opportunities, the unlikely tag team would eventually win the championships at the Roadblock: End of the Line pay-per-view, ending The New Day's record breaking reign in the process. However, the two men still couldn't get on the same page and dropped the belts to Gallows & Anderson just a month later.
It wasn't until after they lost to The Hardys at Payback that they would eventually begin to work as a unit, when they both viciously attacked them after the match, establishing themselves as a dominant heel tag team. They would go on to win the Raw Tag Team Championships for a second time, taking them from Matt & Jeff, at Extreme Rules.
Cesaro & Sheamus are still the reigning champions and their alliance is looking stronger than ever.
