8 Most Insane Things Happening In Wrestling Right Now (Feb 3)

2. Seth Rollins Has Undesigned And Unbuilt His Knee

Cena S Bloody Head

Seth Rollins sent social media into a state of sympathetic meltdown on Wednesday when he tweeted an image of his knee wrapped up in a bandage."Wish I could say it was just a bad dream," went the caption.

That Samoa Joe responded (with a fairly lame joke, it must be said) triggered suspicion. Was he taking credit for the injury to make the best of an awful situation, or furthering a worked shoot storyline? Reports from respected insiders - and Rollins' own follow-up tweets - confirmed the former. "This reinjury to my surgically repaired knee is real and a lot is up in the air right now," he wrote. For the second year in a row, his scheduled match WrestleMania opposite Triple H is off, to the despair of many. It's like the inverse to John Cena and The Rock at WrestleMania XXIX.

It's cruel twist, but hey - at least the company's merchandise department need not design a new t-shirt.

It's a story as dispiriting as it is nuts - and madder still, one floated replacement is Triple H Vs. Samoa Joe, a much-anticipated meeting between...the man who paid for a service and the man who carried out the service. That's like me headlining 'Mania with a plumber.
