3. Pentagon Jr. Has Quit AAA, Which Is Now Without A Paddle

Asistencia Asesoría y Administración LLC (AAA) is in dire straights following the departure of top star Pentagon Jr (now Pentagón 0M). The Lucha Underground Champion (and latest WCPW recruit) has joined Konnan's The Crash promotion. AAA owns the trademark to his name - hence the recent change - and the rights to the Perros de Mal faction name, the gear of which he and fellow stablemate mutineers Daga and Garza Jr showed up in, nonetheless.

If, as some expect, AAA does not recover from this latest raft of departures, it will mark the end of one of the oldest institutions in wrestling. The company has been in the mire for a long time now, plagued by financial woes. These non-payments and steep Lucha Underground percentage cuts led to Rey Mysterio's departure last year, and in a quickly-deleted tweet, Chris Masters criticised the company for not receiving help from them after suffering an ankle injury in their ring.

The problems spiralled yet further when Konnan, who had acted as a conduit between the locker room and the office, departed in spectacularly acrimonious fashion, accusing the promotion of enabling sexual harassment on the part of match-maker Copetes.

Founded in 1992, AAA might not last through 2017.
