8 Most Underutilized TNA Wrestlers

8. Al Snow

Al Snow is underutilized? Yes. Yes it’s true.

Snow is not the Snow you may remember from the past. You know, the goofy guy from WWE who had his dog eaten, or the Tough Enough mentor-type guy. Lately on Impact, he’s been more of an a**hole coach, a man who thinks the younger generation is lazy and has had everything handed to them. He's really good in the role, and oh yeah, he’s also 53 years old and in incredible shape!

Now, TNA shouldn’t make him Heavyweight Champion or anything, but they blew it when they had Mahabali Shera and Grado go over on him, basically killing his gimmick in the process. The company then decided to kill it even further when they hired the former Legionnaires, and had him be their manager.

Snow's losses to the comedy acts didn’t help them out in the least, and Baraka and Baron Dax continue to not get over in their new company. TNA has wasted Snow's renaissance; the Snow-aissance?

Snow should be given one last legitimate run as the highly irritable, aging veteran. A Fit Finlay-type brawler, who wants to prove he’s the last real man standing. Or, give him a couple wrestlers to manage, but ones who can, you know, actually wrestle (ROH's Silas Young and the Beer City Bruiser would be fantastic when they're free).

Snow won’t be delivering four star main events, but if given the opportunity, he’ll easily become one of the more entertaining and effective characters on the show.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
