8 Most Underutilized TNA Wrestlers

6. Robbie E

Robbie E’s character is one of the most obnoxious in the entire wrestling industry at the present time. What exactly is it that he’s trying to do? And why is he still doing it?

He’s still holding on to his Jersey Shore type act, even though he’s a face on TV and that show hasn't been on TV in years. For some reason he seems perfectly content portraying a big dork who runs around and gets beat up easily. He can do better.

Robbie has done a solid job of playing his character, but the problem is, it’s a terrible character. He needs to be repackaged as a more serious act and moved far away from Jesse Godderz as soon as humanly possible! And while he may not have main event potential, there’s no reason to think Robbie E couldn’t be an effective mid-carder, and able to mix it up with the likes of Eli Drake and Aron Rex.

If Robbie E was going to get over with his silly gimmick, it would have happened years ago. Is that act so valuable to the overall entertainment of Impact that management dares not to mess with it?

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
