8 Movies You Didn't Know Almost Starred WWE Superstars

8. Randy Orton - The Marine 3: Homefront

There was an opportunity for The Marine 3 to star a different WWE Superstar and real-life former US Marine. Randy Orton, who served briefly in the Marine Corp, was up for the role after John Cena and Ted DiBiase Jr. starred in the previous installments. But that possibility came to an end swiftly and dramatically when some of Orton's former unit members became publicly outraged that the wrestler, who they claimed deserted them in action, called the casting "a disgrace." Which makes sense. A guy who was dishonorably discharged from the Marines and subsequently court-martialed for his actions probably isn't ideal casting for a movie about the heroics of a Marine. Luckily, after the public outcry, Orton was dropped from the project. Unluckily, the role was taken over by The Miz.
