5. A Renegade Champion
WWE have never been shy of "borrowing" an indie storyline or two when the moment calls for it, and it would certainly be interesting to see them do so again with Roman Reigns. Back in Ring Of Honor, Kevin Owens embarked on an amazing run to the ROH World Championship without actually being a (kayfabe) member of the roster. Authority figure Jim Cornette fired Owens (then known as Kevin Steen) for his excessively violent, rebellious ways - only for the renegade to crash various events, brawling with security and sparking huge crowd reactions in the process. It would be interesting for WWE to use elements of this storyline with Reigns as champion. The Authority probably aren't going to take his title win too well, and could feasibly suspend him for assaulting Vince McMahon on Raw. Then, over the course of the weeks leading to the Royal Rumble, Roman could make several unsanctioned appearances, sneaking into arenas, disrupting matches, and generally wreaking havoc in post-TLC fashion. This would lead to a rebel vs. company man showdown, pitting Reigns against an Authority-chosen challenger, with his job on the line once and for all.
