8 New Roles That Would Revive Stale WWE Talent

5. Seth Rollins & Dean Ambrose - Heel Turn

While Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins may be enjoying a solid run as mid-card tandem since winning the Raw Tag Team Titles, the former WWE Champions are also capable of so much more.

When former World Champions have teamed together in the past to garner tag team gold, the results have usually seen them maintain their main event status at the top of the card. Whether it was the Rock 'n' Sock Connection, The Brothers of Destruction or the reformed D-Generation X, the majority of these duos were still positioned as a supplemental headline act of almost equal importance to the World Title.

Proven commodities both in the ring and on the microphone, Rollins and Ambrose give the tag belts increasing credibility, but their position on the card is beneath them. If Rollins and Ambrose were to turn heel as a tag team, this would immediately freshen up their personas. Ambrose hasn't been a heel since turning baby in 2014, while Rollins has struggled at times since he made the switch a year ago.

A reformation of The Shield as a heel trio would be best for all concerned; it would revitalise the tag champs while it would also help Roman Reigns get over massively. The Shield pursuing Lesnar en route to 'Mania would make an unappetising Reigns/Lesnar rematch hugely exciting.
