Known as Brandi Lauren on the independents, Pawelek has already appeared on-camera for WWE, featuring in Damian Priest's celebration segment after capturing the NXT North American Championship at TakeOver XXX. She was also part of the 23 September Women's Title contendership battle royal on NXT television.

Pawelek, 24, trained under Ring Of Honor's Jay Lethal and worked her first match in March 2016. By the end of that year she was working for the WWNLive-affiliated SHINE group, helping her eventual transition into EVOLVE, where she worked all the way through to the imprint's last event in March 2020, teaming with fellow Performance Center wrestler Jessi Kamea as The In Crowd. It remains to be seen whether or not that tandem will be revived now that Pawelek is under contract.

Pawelek also made several appearances for Impact Wrestling in 2017, working the likes of Brandi Rhodes and Angelina Love, though she was out of the company by January 2018. AEW's Joey Janela is her partner.
