8 Next Generation WWE Superstars And The Roles They'll Play

6. Tyler Breeze

The self-professed €œPrince Pretty€ has been one of the few wrestlers without previous independent praise to achieve great success in NXT. Despite not having the pedigree of his fellow Next Generation stars, Tyler Breeze has proved his worth to WWE€™s future. Bordering on the ridiculous, Breeze has been able to make his gimmick as a self-centered, narcissistic model work. Like the Federation€™s New Generation movement in the mid €˜90s, the Next Generation needs a little flair and ridiculousness too. For every Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels, the New Generation had a Diesel and Razor Ramon. Similarly, the Next Generation has superstars like the straight-forward Adrian Neville, but it also needs talents like Breeze. Furthermore, the outlandish Breeze has become a solid talent and reliable worker down in NXT. He may not have come into the territory with the same fanfare and praise as the NXT Five, but Breeze is making sure he is not overlooked. The arrogant superstar has came close to winning the NXT Championship on a handful of occasions. He was also featured prominently on a recent edition of Raw, alongside Tyson Kidd, Sami Zayn, and Adrian Neville. Tyler Breeze will play an important role in the imminent changing of the guard within WWE. Guys like Zayn and Neville have the potential to get over simply on their abilities and likeable personalities. Breeze, on the other hand, will help bridge the gap between the current era of corny gimmicks and the Next Generation. Even guys like Bret Hart needed outlandish opponents like Yokozuna, Doink the Clown, and Isaac Yankem.
