8 Next Generation WWE Superstars And The Roles They'll Play

4. Finn Bálor

The man formerly known as Fergal Devitt has competed all over the world but most prominently, in Japan. Now known as Finn Bálor, the Irish-born superstar is looking to make his mark in NXT and the WWE. Bálor has yet to debut on NXT programming -- having just made his debut during the recent tapings -- but is set to be a force to be reckoned with. Prior to his signing, Bálor competed for nearly six years in New Japan Pro Wrestling. While there, he made quite an impact -- becoming a 6-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion, a 3-time Junior Heavyweight champ, and a 2-time winner of the prestigious Best of the Super Juniors tournament. In the year before his departure from the Japanese promotion, the former-Prince Devitt was instrumental in the formation of the dominant Bullet Club stable. While Finn Bálor only just made his debut for NXT, there is little doubt that he will quickly become a key player in the territory. Bálor has been initially teamed with Hideo Itami. Whether the two remain a duo for any extended period of time remains to be seen. Bálor is a phenomenal athlete and incredibly gifted performer. While he has a tremendous look and possesses the personality to become a very over babyface, his talents may be more suited as a dastardly heel -- similar to his use in New Japan. Fans will have to wait to see what role Bálor will play in NXT, as well as in the Next Generation of superstars in the WWE. Undoubtedly, Bálor€™s role will be a very important one.
