8 NXT Wrestlers Too Good To Fail On WWE's Main Roster

1. Adam Cole

Yes, Adam Cole is small.

No, it doesn't matter.

While 'The Panama City Playboy' would've stood no chance in a previous era, wrestling's ongoing evolution away from big, lumbering stuffs negates his biggest shortcoming. Vince McMahon still loves his giants, but being 6'5"+ is no longer prerequisite for success.

Besides, Cole is one of the absolute best workers in the company, at any level. Is he a five-star wrestler? Not necessarily, but again, it doesn't matter. This guy gets over. Charisma leaks from every pore, and he's a brilliant, sleazy personality who dominates every building he walks into. That's what professional wrestling is all about, and that's primarily why he'll be a main roster success story.

Cole has been preparing himself for the big time from day one. Every part of his act has been developed with this in mind, from his promo cadence to his wrestling style. He worked plenty of dangerous matches on the indies, but at nowhere near the same volume as many of his peers, thus preserving for the moment he finally arrived on wrestling's biggest stage. Now, that moment is almost here, and the Undisputed Era leader is on the cusp of something special.
