8 NXT Wrestlers Too Good To Fail On WWE's Main Roster

2. Shayna Baszler

The assertion that 'The Queen Of Spades' is going to kill it on Raw or SmackDown wasn't half as compelling nine months ago, but an outstanding 2018 and her friend Ronda Rousey's ongoing success earmarks Baszler as an NXT prospect with immense main roster potential.

There's little Shayna can't do, even at this relatively early stage in her career. She, like many MMA-to-wrestling transplants, has learned how to utilise her old skill-set without using it as a crutch in this scripted world. Many will point to her big TakeOver scraps with Kairi Sane and Ember Moon as highlights. They'd be right, but look at her brief spring programme with Dakota Kai for proof of Shayna's business. Though their blow-off match was brief, the duo accomplished more in their five-and-a-half minutes than most wrestlers do with thrice that, and Baszler's domineering bully persona absolutely shone.

A ready-made Horsewomen vs. Horsewomen programme provides 'The Queen Of Spades' with a clear pathway to immediate success, but regardless of whether or not she's paired with Rousey & co., the former NXT Women's Champion's meanness and menace set her apart from any main roster wrestler.
