8 Obscure Movie And TV Roles You Never Knew The Rock Had

3. Himself - DAG (2000)

Short-lived sitcom DAG (that's no exaggeration; it lasted for only 17 episodes over a single season) focused on a Secret Service agent forced to guard the First Lady after making a mistake during a failed assassination attempt on the President. She treated him like a slave though, and the whole thing was pretty much as misogynistic and unfunny as it sounds. The fact that the First Lady was white and her Secret Service agent was black also made DAG feel like somewhat uncomfortable viewing, and critics tore it to pieces when it debuted. In the episode, The Rock turned up in the Oval Office in order to research a role in an action film (naturally). Johnson had a surprisingly large role here, but NBC (who were airing WWE programming at the time) failed to save this show by having The Great One appear. What is it with The Rock randomly showing up in The White House anyway? Was this some sort of unplanned prequel to his brief appearance in Cory in the House? Probably not! Regardless, it did at least show that the wrestler actually had some serious acting chops.
