In an alternate universe, the WrestleMania card that Figure 4 Online's Bryan Alvarez teased "would make everyone happy" actually ended up happening. Fans in that reality were lucky enough to be treated to a dream match in the form of Samoa Joe versus John Cena.

Yes, WWE was planning on delivering Cena versus Joe at WrestleMania 33, a match that would have undoubtedly been great - Cena has done some of his best work against monster heels, while Joe has been experiencing a career renaissance since coming to WWE in 2015. There would also be a historical aspect to the match that would make it interesting - Cena and Joe both broke into wrestling together in California's UPW, and have known each other for more than 15 years.

Alas, Samoa Joe was introduced on Raw and Cena is on Smackdown, meaning that a showdown between them is impossible for the time being. Joe doesn't even have a match for WrestleMania at this point, so he'll probably end up in the battle royal.
