Ronda Rousey is the star now.

Already WWE's biggest mainstream attraction prior to WrestleMania, her stock soared even higher on the back of her phenomenal in-ring debut. Now, there can be absolutely no hesitation in pushing her all the way to the moon, but there was a problem with her 'Baddest Woman On The Planet' push: Asuka.

Simultaneously pushing two people (or three, if you include Nia Jax) as the alpha couldn't work. They'd get in each other's way, and one would inevitably end up looking inferior. Thus, it was vital that WWE split them up in the Shake-Up.

'The Empress Of Tomorrow' was officially named part of the SmackDown on Tuesday night, which was always going to happen. WWE would never remove Ronda from the A-show, so they sent the former NXT Women's Champion to Tuesday nights, and both can now prosper without the fear of stepping on each other's toes.

The new concern, of course, is that Asuka may now have to play second fiddle to Charlotte Flair, who has been clearly positioned as the Women's Revolution's franchise player, but that's all speculative at the moment.
