Considering that Henry, Rikishi, Maven, and other possibly-questionable talents were taken during the televised portion, and thus given a moment of shine to underscore their importance, you'd think the undrafted talents were a bunch of schmoes.

Maybe WWE thought so in their unique thinking process, but take a gander at what talents were subjected to the random selection phase on the company website.

Among them, The Hardy Boyz, Christian, The APA, Lance Storm, Trish Stratus, Diamond Dallas Page, Goldust, plus many others. While a talent's value is subjective, their beauty in the eye of the beholder, hindsight isn't exactly kind to how this all played out.

Tell somebody in 2016 that "Smackdown would rather have had Maven than Jeff Hardy or Trish Stratus", and you'll find a cross-eyed gaze staring back at you.
