6. What Is The Remaining Unknown Aztec Tribe?
In episode two, Antonio Cueto launched the latest series of matches to determine the Gift of the Gods champion. El Dragon Azteca Jr. defeated Drago to win the first coin, and the commentary confirmed that Azteca is a member of the Eagle Tribe.
The Eagle Tribe can be officially added to the current list of known tribes, alongside the Reptile Tribe, the Rabbit Tribe, and the Jaguar Tribe. Since there are seven coins and seven Aztec tribes, presumably the images on the coins coincide with the identities of the seven tribes.
It's safe to assume, then, that Marty and Mariposa represent a Moth/Insect Tribe (one coin's icon resembles a moth) and a Death Tribe (one coin features a death's head mask on it that resembles the seal Catrina used when she ran the Temple in early season 2).
That leaves one tribe unidentified, and if the coin theory is correct, the remaining tribe is either deer-related (pointing toward King Cuerno) or bull-related (pointing toward the Cuetos). Either would be a big deal moving forward.
