8 Reasons Chyna Deserves WWE Hall Of Fame Induction

6. She Was A Pioneer During A Difficult Time

An important point to note about Chyna is the fact that she gained prominence at a time when it was incredibly hard for a woman to do so - perhaps the hardest in WWE history.

The wrestling business has never been known as a place for equal opportunity (particularly between sexes), and that's a major reason why the current women's revolution has been received so enthusiastically. It's long overdue.

Chyna's run in the company was during the Attitude Era, a time in which women were generally regarded as little more than eye candy. For context, the Women's Championship was held by figures such as Sable, Debra and The Kat in that time.

On the other hand, Chyna was placed on the same level as many of the men. She was introduced as Triple H's bodyguard, and quickly became the enforcer of D-Generation X. For the first time in the history of the company, a woman was portrayed as just as intimidating a physically capable than the male superstars - during the least likely period for such a phenomenon to occur.
