8 Reasons Friday's WWE Releases Were Justified

4. Hornswoggle

Formerly known as 'Little Bastard', Hornswoggle would go on to have a frankly surprising decade-long career in World Wrestling Entertainment.

In these ten years Swoggle would become the final WWE Cruierweight Champion, would be an honorary member of D-Generation X and would generally be the shocking reveal at the end of every disappointing reveal storyline, be it the Anonymous General Manager or Vince McMahon's Illegitimate Son.

Hornswoggle was suspended for violating the WWE's Wellness Program in September of 2015, and subsequently made a grand total of zero more appearances for the company.

Much like a weird mixture of Santino and Torito, there simply was little left for the company to do with Hornswoggle. All options had been exhausted.

With the exception of future reveal angles, there was simply no need for Swoggle to be with the company anymore. He'll have no problem getting work outside of WWE, and can look back on the last ten years with fondness.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
