8. International Flavor

Over the last few months, TNA has relied heavily on international stars to help fortify a depleted roster. With X-Division staples AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian, Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley all departing over the last year, not to mention the loss of Sting and the impending departures of Kurt Angle, Gail Kim and James Storm, the company has had to look elsewhere for stars. The Great Muta and Tajiri have been welcome additions to the show, as has Sanada, whose storyline involving James Storm has been both strange and interesting all at the same time. The Japanese influence is a direct result of TNA's Bound For Glory pay-per-view taking place in the Land of the Rising Sun but there are other international influences to be found elsewhere on the shows. One of the bigger, surprising breakout stars in today's TNA is Rockstar Spud, whose antics have proven wildly entertaining. A strong personality with great camera presence, Spud is a comedic act that fits in so well with the otherwise serious tone of the shows. His interactions with Ethan Carter III have been some of the more enjoyable elements of recent Impact episodes. Add to that the tremendous success that Magnus has had for the company, as well as Bram's rise to relevance over the last few months and the Brits clearly are key to the future of TNA. Especially considering the strong presence the company has built in the United Kingdom.
