8 Reasons Why Big Show Should Never Wrestle On TV Again

5. Giant Ambassador

Vince McMahon has, for years, been looking for the ideal ambassador for his brand following the disinterest, disobedience and dissonance of Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart respectively.

Though The Rock loves to remind fans that WWE is 'in his blood' whenever he commands microphone time in a squared circle, he's less keen on red carpets, leaving McMahon short of a genuine attention-grabber when press junkets and media conglomerates converge.

The Big Show may slot perfectly into such a role.

His size ensures he literally stands out from the pack, and his fame has occasionally transcended WWE thanks to passable movie appearances and the spectacle of his presence. Even as recently as this year, a match with basketball icon Shaquille O'Neal was on the drawing board for WrestleMania and gaining traction with press outside of the wrestling bubble before snags put paid to the clash.

Having ran the WWE gamut for nearly two decades and still on terms to tell the (good) tales, there are few currently better placed for the role. Proven to be an erudite speaker in out-of-character moments, he could also be the perfect performer to wash away any remaining preconceptions about wrestlers being muscled buffoons.
