8 Reasons Why Kevin Owens Is A Terrible Heel

1. His Title Run Is A Sham

Good going Triple H. You just had to go and steal the spotlight from Kevin Owens! The man couldn’t possibly be booked to win a fatal-four way match due to his own skill, or even through dumb luck. No, he had to be positioned in the absolute worst way possible as his boss did all the work for him.

Not since Hunter himself was handed the Heavyweight Championship from Eric Bischoff has a major title run felt so undeserving. As awful and damaging as most Money in the Bank cash-ins are, at least the wrestlers had to do some sort of offensive move to earn it. Owens, though, was on the ground while Hunter was beating up his opponents with ease. It would have been just as credible if Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins slipped on a banana peel at the same time, knocked their heads together before Owens pinned them both.

The Universal Champion doesn’t even seem to matter right now, as we’re still waiting for Hunter to take five damn minutes out of his day to show up on Raw and announce why he did what he did. He's cast a gigantic shadow over the current champ, as he's perceived as a much bigger threat than the man with the belt. It's made it incredibly hard for people to buy into Owens as a major heel when there are clearly much bigger ones out there.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
