8 Reasons Why TNA's Closure Would Be A Good Thing

1. WWE Would Eventually Have Competition Again

Competition, like in most businesses, is great for the wrestling industry. It encourages a promotion to be cutting edge, to have the best talent, to have the most experienced writers, in order to provide the most appealing product that money can buy. Since the death of WCW, WWE's product have suffered from a severe lack of feasible competition, they've gotten lazy and often don't feel the need to try. Anyone who watched TNA's sad attempt to reenact the Monday night wars back in 2010, will know that TNA was never any real threat to the WWE, at any point. That being said, since 2002 TNA has occupied that spot as WWE's main competitor, but if TNA does finally close its doors, it'll leave a huge gap in the televised wrestling market for other potential competitors. This isn't a question of if or who, but a question of when, all it would take is a decent promotion to get a well publicized TV deal, perhaps even with Spike TV, the network which is said to be dropping TNA this year. If TNA was off the air, it'd open endless possibilities in the realm of televised wrestling, and could even lead to a company being able to compete directly rating-for-rating with the WWE.
