8 Reasons Why WWE Women’s Tag Division Has Failed

6. Reggie

We’re going to shred Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler later, but we have to reserve an entry for a real low point: Reggie as a plot point for the women’s tag titles.

Known at that point as Reginald, the former sommelier made his way into Jax’s heart while she was one-half of the tag champs with Baszler, as they were still doing their “are we friends or rivals?” while holding tag gold. Jax doted on Reggie, taking him shopping and paying a ton of attention to her new boy toy.

As bad as that was, it got worse. Reggie would become a distraction for Shayna, who already didn’t like him, costing the team multiple matches, which meant you had tag champs (and later contenders) losing bouts due to a sommelier in short pants.

Sounds like a viable tag division.
