8 Reasons WWE Realised The Undertaker Vs. Braun Strowman Would Suck

3. Strowman Isn't Over. At All.

As it stands now, we're a little over a month and a half away from WrestleMania 32, and there's no way Braun Strowman is over enough to justify such a massive spot on what's intended to be the biggest event in the company's - and by extension the entire industry's - history. And that's not his fault. He hasn't really been put in the position to be. He's shown very little character outside of uttering a few ominous lines at the end of Wyatt's wordy promos, has wrestled zero televised singles matches, and exists only to look scary and squeeze people until they go night-night. That's a big jump throwing him in a featured match at Mania, with the only thing to justify it being that he's huge (something that Luke Harper himself has pointed out is a bit of a misconception since they're around the same size). I'll give WWE a break since they had no idea the roster was going to be so severely depleted for the big card, but John Cena has been on the shelf since just after the first of the year and in that time the promotion has done absolutely nothing to push Strowman in position to be taken seriously as a credible main eventer, they've just done more of the same. Apparently WWE realized that he just wasn't ready.
