8 Seriously Underrated Stone Cold Steve Austin WWE Matches

3. Vs. Savio Vega - In Your House: Beware Of Dog (Caribbean Strap Match)

Bit of a backstory to this one, as the very same match actually happened twice on the same pay-per-view. It's just that the fans didn't see it the first time since, two matches into the show, the power went out thanks to a severe thunderstorm and the feed cut out for those that ordered the event. The power was restored just in time for the Shawn Michaels versus British Bulldog main event.

In order to make up for this WCW-like error, WWE offered fans who ordered the event the three missing matches on the Tuesday. That meant that Austin and Vega had to go through their whole routine again. Fans will have been glad that they did, because it wound up being the best thing on either show.

This was contested under the old 'must touch all four corners of the ring' rule and the two men played up the psychology of the stipulation. It was hard-hitting and typically intense and long, too, going just shy of 22 minutes. These two had surprisingly great chemistry together and complimented each others' style.

In the end, Austin actually threw the match, 'accidentally' shoving Vega into the final buckle as they were both tied on three. This was so that he could get rid of his manager, 'Million Dollar Man' Ted DiBiase and start his ascent up the card. Something of an underrated classic, this, and definitely the best thing Savio was involved in during his time with Titan.
