Whether you love or loathe Roman Reigns, the smart way to retire The Undertaker is to have him be beaten by a much younger talent. It’s what so many WWE fans want to see more of – the older guys putting over the younger Superstars – and WrestleMania 33 is the perfect time for him to do that.

You could argue that Brock Lesnar didn’t need to beat The Undertaker to seem like a monster, nor would Cena have benefited from beating The Phenom if that was to be the original plan. But regardless of Reigns’s ‘superman booking’, a win over the most proficient WrestleMania competitor of all time would give him an air of legitimacy. It’d put him on the same level as Brock Lesnar, and would serve as the best possible time to properly trigger an elusive Roman heel turn.

We might not be overjoyed to see The Undertaker lose and retire to Roman Reigns, but it truly is what’s ‘best for business.’ It’ll pretty much ensure that Reigns is seen as a dominant force – both in the ring and the box office – which will then elevate any Superstar who in turn manages to best the Big Dog.
