8 Steps To Booking WCW One Night Stand

8. The Key Information About The Show

Here's a rundown of some of the basics in terms of the setup of the show. They would have to figure out a lot of things. Location: Atlanta, Georgia Atlanta is where WCW was based out of, so it makes sense to hold the show in the arena there. There are other good markets in the American southeast like Charlotte or Nashville that could probably work too. Commissioner: Eric Bischoff As the former WCW President, Bischoff's presence is essential. He should be the man in charge for the night that could also hype up the event on WWE TV. He's currently not working for a wrestling promotion, so for the right price he'd likely be available. Announcers: Tony Schiavone, Scott Hudson, Mark Madden and Paul Heyman They were all in WCW at the end while Schiavone was there for a very long time. Hudson did a good job of getting the stories over while Madden was an overbearing, obnoxious heel announcer that offered some laughs too. Heyman should only be an announcer for the main event because having four guys all night would be too much. Time of year: June or July While WCW's biggest event was Starrcade in December, they were also known for big summer events like the Great American Bash and Bash at the Beach. Holding an event like this in the summer would be the right move. Former WCW wrestlers that could attend: Steve Austin, Mick Foley (Cactus Jack), Vader, Bret Hart, Lex Luger, Sid Vicious, Bill DeMott (Hugh Morrus), Stevie Ray and others. There are a number of former WCW wrestlers that could be there that I left off the matches because there just isn't enough room and also because some of them are physically unable to compete anymore. All of them could appear on camera on some point in some role. Bret Hart may not want to go since he disliked his time in WCW. Those are some key essentials for the show. There would be seven matches starting with the cruiserweights.
