Speaking of the cops, why exactly is undercover cop Cortez Castro still alive? Dario murdered Mr. Cisco (knowing full well that he was wearing a wire at the time and that Cortez was listening in), and then dirty cop and lollipop aficionado Joey Ryan ratted out Castro's second attempt to infiltrate the Temple as masked wrestler Veneno.

Castro would get his revenge on Joey Ryan, and even earn an Aztec medallion for it, but that doesn't explain why Dario let him live, or why he allows Castro into the Temple knowing his agenda.

One can only surmise that somehow, Cortez and Dario will end up working together to bring down Agent Winter after his attempt on Dario's life. But still, his continued access to the Temple is a huge question mark.
