8 Superstars Who Suffered From WWE Draft 2016

6. Zack Ryder

I can't believe I'm going to mention Mojo Rawley twice in the same feature.

Recent winner of a RAW main event battle royal and current #1 Contender to the United States Champion Rusev, Zack Ryder was the 43rd pick overall in last night's draft. For those who are keeping score, that puts him below The Ascension, Sin Cara and Jack Swagger. Still, he was above Apollo Crews and Mark Henry, so there is that.

Those hoping for Ryder's singles exploits to continue in 2016 should be a little worried however. The fifth draft pick to be taken from NXT was none other than Mojo Rawley, the man with whom Ryder tags in a duo known as the Hype Bros.

It is unlikely that the WWE has big plans for Rawley as a future singles star, so it is a depressingly safe assumption that we may see Rawley and Ryder teaming up together on SmackDown sooner rather than later.

Cherish that WrestleMania moment, Long Island Iced Z.

Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man.
