Was there anything more perverse, unique, and horrifyingly enjoyable this year than watching Braun Strowman and Alexa Bliss dismantle the other teams in the Mixed Match Challenge? Show me a man who says there was and I will show you a liar and nerd.

The whole are they/aren’t they banging sideshow was a bit off - I mean, just imagine that, he’d wear her like a hat - but the dynamic of the team felt so original. WWE’s main roster tag team combinations are usually so stale and predictable and here instead was something you’d never really seen before.

A good friend of mine once wrote that Alexa should have been booked as Sister Abigail in the Wyatt family, and been a fraudulent manipulator of those weird old boys. This wasn’t quite as good as that, but still compulsive viewing.
