8 Teams That Must Be Involved In AEW's Tag Title Tournament

1. Cody & Dustin Rhodes

"I don't need a partner. I don't need a friend. I need my older brother".

Those were the words of Cody Rhodes after besting his older sibling Dustin at Double Or Nothing. The promo, one supercharged with blood and tears, set the table for Cody and Dustin vs. The Young Bucks at Fight For The Fallen on 13 July. It'd be a huge surprise if that ends up being the last time these brothers team together.

They belong in the Tag Title tournament as a duo. The story writes itself; after impressing against The Bucks, Dustin would plead with Cody to stand by his side and make an old man happy. Not just any old man, but their old man, the deceased Dusty. More tears would flow and fans would rejoice in the thought of Cody and Dustin winning the gold.

This is too good a story for AEW to knock back. It's a natural, pun intended, and it'd give the tourney some much-needed affection too. Cody and Dustin taking on all comers as one is emotional pro wrestling storytelling 101. It's that kind of sweet emotion that wrestling needs more of in 2019.
