8 Teams That Were Stupidly Split Up In WWE Drafts

3. The Club

AJ Styles had everything going for him in the first six months of 2016.

He had the perfect debut at the Royal Rumble followed by a fun feud with Chris Jericho on the road to WrestleMania and then back-to-back pay-per-view main events with Roman Reigns over the top title. He then immediately transitioned into a rivalry with John Cena.

Above all else, he had his own stable consisting of himself, Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows.

Collectively known as The Club (a blatantly lazy name for a group), they played off their history in Bullet Club and had incredible chemistry together. Anderson and Gallows were being pushed around the same time, so all three of them were firing on all cylinders.

Just as their "Beat up John Cena!" tagline was starting to get over with the audience, they were shockingly split up in the 2016 WWE Draft, with Styles going to SmackDown and Anderson and Gallows reporting to Raw.

Styles had no problem fending for himself on the blue brand, but Anderson and Gallows were not as fortunate. They were largely booked like losers from that point forward, and although they attempted to recreate that magic by reforming The Club in 2019, it didn't prevent The Good Brothers from being released in April 2020.
