Heavy Machinery had all the tools necessary to be a super successful team on WWE's main roster, and shortly before the pandemic hit, it appeared they were well on their way to accomplishing that.

Otis and Tucker were gradually getting more and more over with the audience thanks to the storyline with Mandy Rose heading into WrestleMania 36. They were also genuinely likable dudes, so when the time was right, they were bound to receive a raucous reaction when they won the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

Unfortunately, the pandemic really hurt their momentum because they didn't have the fans to play off anymore. Otis' angle with Mandy fizzled out, leaving Vince McMahon to believe he no longer had a use for his tag team partner.

In a shocking turn of events, Tucker was sent packing to Raw in the 2020 WWE Draft. It was mere weeks later that Tucker solidified the split by betraying Otis and costing him the Money in the Bank briefcase, though there was never a blow-off bout between the two and Tucker was later released from the company.

Heavy Machinery should have ascended to higher heights and held gold at least once together.
