One Tweak: The Man In... Red?

Sting's long-awaited WWE debut was full to bursting with echoes of his non-McMahon past.

Arriving in 2014 to stamp out Triple H and The Authority's death grip on the main roster, he was a vigilante in the mold of the man that took on the New World Order during WCW's creative and commercial peak. In the run up to the match itself, he preyed on 'The Game' completely underestimating what trouble he'd gotten himself into by even starting a fight with 'The Stinger'.

Come time for the contest, the story changed completely but even that would have suited real post-1996 Sting making an appearance rather than the hybrid composite of the years he'd since spent in TNA. WWE inexplicably turned the entire thing into a Monday Night Wars redux, but used the 2015 Sting to fight the battle.
