8 Things We Learned From Hulk Hogan On Talk Is Jericho

7. He Wanted to Fight David Letterman

David Letterman Hulk Hogan has always been a savvy pro when it comes to doing the media rounds. Throughout his legendary career he's had memorable appearances on almost all the major late night and daytime talk shows, with turns on Arsenio Hall and Jay Leno being standouts, the latter of which led to Leno's involvement in wrestling for WCW. And let's not forget the Richard Belzer incident in which The Hulkster choked out the talk show host and let him fall to the floor with a sickening thud, resulting in a huge lawsuit that allowed Detective Munch to live a life of luxury for many years. But one show has eluded him: The Late Show with David Letterman. And the reason? Hulk wanted to kick his *ss. According to the WWE superstar the talk show icon hit on his then-wife Linda, so Hogan sent a threat to Dave through former NBC chief Dick Ebersol, who was heavily involved with WWE at the time. Can you imagine what kind of money a Hulk Hogan/David Letterman feud would have drawn back in the 80s? That could have been the original Andy Kaufman angle.
