8 Things We Learned From Hulk Hogan On Talk Is Jericho

5. The Origins Of His Name

Hulk Ferrigno Terry Bollea's previous monikers are probably already well known by all but the most casual of wrestling fans. He began his career as Terry Boulder (with his cousin Dizzy Boulder, more famously known as Hogan's BFF Brutus Beefcake), before Jim Barnett rechristened him Sterling Golden, a cheesy name made even more awesome by the arrow he shaved into his chest hair. An appearance on a local Memphis, Tennessee talk show alongside Lou Ferrigno, the bodybuilding legend/actor who played The Incredible Hulk on the beloved television series had people exclaiming that he was "bigger than The Hulk!" so he started using the name Terry "The Hulk" Boulder, which morphed into Hulk Hogan thanks to Vince McMahon, Sr.
