8 Things You Need To Know About CM Punk's UFC Contract

1. He Won't Fight Until The Summer At the Earliest

Punk needs to sort things out with his camp, train, experience a weight cut, then go through fight camp, which can easily be three months alone. We already know he won't be fighting until 2015, and a safe bet would be late summer. That's if Punk avoids any injuries in training camp. Per Dana White, "I think what he wants to do is take his time, start training, get with the right camp. It might be six or seven months.€ That would take us to July. August wouldn't be surprising. It might even be timed for a show in Chicago, which would perhaps be later in the fall of 2015. If that seems long, well, it's actually almost rushing given Punk's experience level, but with a limited window due to his age, it's now or never for Phil Brooks, otherwise known as CM Punk. Punk believes he will be going directly on to a pay per view, so no Ultimate Fighter show.
